Eastern Bloc Records in Guide to best clubs in manchester

Eastern Bloc Records

Founded in 1985 by John Berry and Martin Price of 808 State, Eastern Bloc is one of the UK’s most influential record shops and a vital hub for the city’s underground music scene. Over the years, it’s been a key spot for DJs, collectors, and producers, with countless iconic faces behind the counter and digging in the crates. More recently, Eastern Bloc has evolved into a fully licensed music venue, complete with a new sound system and a tight-knit atmosphere. Open late from Thursday to Saturday, the space now hosts resident DJs, label takeovers, and one-off parties that blur the line between record shop and club.
