Another year and another heap of new releases for us to dig through. Here are our favourites of 2025, the tracks that have been most on repeat for our contributors here at Club Culture.

Skepta, Fred Again – Back 2 Back

Has this collaboration made Fred Again cool again? Pitting old and new Skepta bars against eachother, to the backing of a Loefah dubstep classic sample, has made this possibly our most played song of the year here at Club Culture.

Denis Sulta – It’s Only Real 2025

This reworking of his seminal track, on it’s 10 year anniversary, lives up to the original and more. Adding a vocal hook adds an extra level of euphoric energy and this will be on repeat for us for quite some time.

Faithless – Insomnia (Disclosure Edit)

Disclosure have only made reasonably subtle changes to this classic on it’s 30 year anniversary, giving it a fresh twist but maintaining the iconic energy of the original.

PinkPantheress – Illegal (Nia Archives Remix)

Nia Archives gives her signature jungle & breakbeat treatment to PinkPantheress’ hugely popular hit, giving it much more energy and aggression than the original.

Kettama, Clouds – Sort It Out

Kettama’s album was one of the most anticipated of the year and provided a number of great tunes. Sort It Out is our pick of the bunch, with the old school Trance like breakdown feeling like a real homage to 90s rave culture.

Duke Dumont, Tony Walsh – Feels Like This

Known for his contributions to the poppier side of house music, Duke Dumont tries to move away from this slightly with his newest album. Feels Like This, featuring Tony Walsh, is a vocal euphoric treat, that builds and builds throughout it’s runtime.

Joy Orbison, Joe James – Bastard

Joy Orbison matches Joe James’ understated rapping style with a suitably low-key beat that is for us, one of the most addictive tracks of the year. DJ Mag agrees, naming it British Rap track of the year.

Girls of the Internet – Affirmations (Dennis Ferrer Remix)

Released initially in 2023 with soulful vocals from Anelisa Lamola; Dennis Ferrer adds a bounce to the track with some tasty brass tones that give it a natural uplift.

Mochakk, J.J Fad – Hypersilent

Youtube commenter ‘jessejones9061’ says “Some good ass house music”. We’re inclined to agree.

Chris Lake, Yael Watchman – On and On

Yael Watchman’s hypnotic vocals combined with piano and soft synth stabs, make this a track we’ve had on repeat since July.

Overmono, High Contrast – If We Ever

Overmono giving a high contrast DnB classic their own spin wasn’t on our 2025 bingo, but here we are. This one was huge this summer.

Sammy Virji, Tuff Jamm – Up and Down

Karl ‘Tuff Enuff’ Brown and Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont come together with Sammy Virji to create a swingy, bouncy new wave UKG sound.

Conducta – Handle With Care

Conducta drops quite possibly the best track of the year. Tender grooves and warm chords with a perfect blend of vocals, keep talking to me baby.

Shadow Child – Say It Now

“Overhwelmed with support” Simon Neale said a week after this dropped in the summer with London Records. With punchy drums and a rising swing accompanied with vocals from Bernard Fowler, we support this massively.
